Where to Explore
We’re excited to share a few of our favourite places in the area with you.
We have partnered with Alpine Adventures who are on standby to help organise it for you.
Site Seeing
-
Arrange a game drive in Soysambu Conservancy - which is home to more than 450 avi-fauna species and plains game have in the area. The largest populations are great white pelicans and lesser and greater flamingos. Approximately 90% of all of Kenya’s black-necked grebes and cape teals are found at the lake, as well as maccoa duck, the critically threatened great crested grebe, great egret and other species that represent conservation concerns.
-
Proceed to Lake Nakuru for a game drive. It is home to over 450 bird species and 50+ mammal species. Famous for its flamingos that turn the lake shores pink, the park also hosts a variety of other birds. Its savannah also shelters animals like rhinos, giraffes, lions, baboons, zebras, and more.
-
Take a boat ride in Lake Naivasha- enjoy bird watching, eagle feeding, and hippo viewing.

Sightseeing
-
Stop at the Great Riff Valley view point where you will attain magnificent views of the escarpments.
-
Visit the Kekopey hot springs-The springs are an integral part of local traditions, as the water is believed to heave healing properties. We recommend a morning visit to the springs, as this is the best time to see pied kingfishers and yellow-billed storks, but the surrounds around the springs are also superb for birdwatching any time of day. If you are fit, you can also trek the Sleeping Warrior Crater and the Hill of Mawe Mbili.
